The Make Group executed the comprehensive design-build and tenant improvement for Modern Men in Calgary, transforming a raw commercial unit into a high-end retail environment. The project focused on a sophisticated interior build-out, utilizing custom-designed slats, high-end millwork, and a strategic lighting plan to highlight luxury apparel. Our team managed the full technical integration, including the installation of a new Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP), specialized plumbing for staff facilities, and a dedicated HVAC system with a rooftop unit (RTU) to ensure optimal climate control for both customers and merchandise.
As the General Contractor, we coordinated all mechanical and electrical trades, ensuring the installation of specialized equipment such as ceiling-mounted water heaters and efficient ventilation systems that meet ASHRAE standards. The finish selection balanced aesthetic appeal with durability, featuring dark walnut accents, natural beige walls, and resilient flooring designed for high retail traffic.
